Toronto Flower Delivery: A Dozen Roses Runs $54 to $200

A dozen roses delivered in Toronto runs $54 to $200, going by the price each shop prints on its own product page. We read 20 florists that deliver to a Toronto address on 29 September 2026. Eighteen of them had a dozen in stock that you could add to a cart. Sort those 18 and the ninth price is $85 and the tenth is $90, so the median is ($85 + $90) / 2 = $87.50. Fifteen of the 18 are a dozen red roses. Delivery and HST are almost always on top, and most shops will not show you either number until you are at the checkout page.

What a dozen roses costs across Toronto

Every price below is the figure the shop prints for a one-dozen option that was in stock on 29 September 2026. Five of the shops show a higher price crossed out beside the live one, and this table carries the live price in each case. Nothing here includes delivery, and nothing here is stated to include HST.

Count the rows and you can check the middle for yourself. Nine prices sit below $87.50 and nine sit above it, which is where the $87.50 median comes from. Ten of the 18 are $90 or less, so a budget of $90 reaches more than half the shops here before delivery.

Why the same dozen costs twice as much across town

Two shops in this set sell the identical catalogue arrangement, listed on both sites as 12 Classic Red Roses. 21 Seven Market on Bloor Street West prices it at $72.95 standard, $89.95 deluxe and $109.95 premium. Top Flower Designers on Yonge Street in North York prices the same three sizes at $110.95, $129.95 and $149.95. Same product code, same twelve roses, and $110.95 minus $72.95 is a gap of $38.00 at the standard size.

That gap is normal in this trade, and it is not usually about the flowers alone. Two things you can read from the page move the number.

What comes with the roses. Sweetpea's charges $200.00 for a deluxe dozen arranged with a collar of greens and extra filler flowers. That is a different product from twelve red stems wrapped in paper, even though both are a dozen. Mystic Flowers includes a clear glass vase in its $79.99, and Canada Flowers at $92 includes baby's breath. Moon's Flowers charges $90.00 for its dozen without baby's breath and $100.00 with it.

Whether the price is a sale price. Five of the 18 shops show a struck-out figure beside the live one. Toronto Flower Co shows $69.00 crossed out above $54.00. Bloomen shows $84.99 above $59.99. Mystic Flowers shows $99.99 above $79.99, Toronto Flower Story shows $89.99 above $79.99, and Florist.ca shows $119.99 above its $99.99 regular size. The live price is the one you pay, and it is the one in the table.

One shop's dozen can be three prices on its own. Florist.ca lists its One Dozen Red Roses at $99.99 regular, $108.99 deluxe and $114.99 supersize on a single page, so check which size a quote refers to.

The national online brands sit in the middle and upper half

Three of the 18 are national online brands rather than Toronto shops with a bench. Canada Flowers and Florist.ca sell for delivery across Canada, and Skyline Flowers publishes no address and says each order is prepared by a local florist near the recipient. Their dozens cost $85.00 at Skyline, just under the $87.50 median, and $92 at Canada Flowers and $99.99 at Florist.ca, above it. Six of the 15 independent shops charge more than $92. Canada Flowers and Florist.ca publish a delivery fee you can read in advance, as ten of the 15 independents do; Skyline does not.

What the price of the roses leaves out

The number on the product page is rarely the number on your card. Here is what each of the 20 shops publishes about the rest of the bill.

Delivery is published by 12 of the 18

Twelve of the 18 shops with a dozen in stock tell you what delivery to a Toronto address costs. Tonic Blooms prices flower delivery from $9.99. Canada Flowers applies a $15 delivery charge at checkout for most cities and towns. Sweetpea's charges a flat rate of $17 to the Toronto and GTA postal codes it lists. La Belle Fleur says rates start at $18 for select zones downtown and vary by area. Florist.ca charges $19.98 for same-day delivery and $14.99 for next day, and its banner offers free shipping on orders over $100. Moon's Flowers charges a flat fee of $20 across Toronto. May Flowers charges $12 to $15 for midtown and downtown Toronto and nothing on orders over $175 inside Toronto. Mystic Flowers charges $15 on an order under $50 and nothing from $50 up.

Four more promise free delivery with a condition. Toronto Flower Story delivers free over $40. Flowers and Flowers delivers free within 5 km of its studio (pickup address 37 King St E), and 21 Seven Market and Top Flower Designers both offer free local delivery on local online orders.

The other six publish nothing you can plan around before checkout. That matters most at the cheap end. The published flat and starting fees in this set run from $9.99 to $20, and against the $54.00 dozen the top of that range adds more than a third again to the price of the flowers.

Almost nobody tells you about the tax

Not one of the 18 product pages says whether a one-off order's price includes HST. Five of them, Bloomen, Flowers and Flowers, Moon's Flowers, Mystic Flowers and Skyline Flowers, carry a cart line saying taxes are worked out at checkout, which is the store software talking rather than the florist. Bloomen's page also says its subscribe-and-save prices do not include taxes, which settles it for subscribers only. Two others answer it a click away: 21 Seven Market and Top Flower Designers both state on their delivery policy pages that sales tax will be displayed in the checkout if applicable.

One shop answers it plainly, though not on the product page. Mystic Flowers runs a line on its homepage saying simple pricing, what you see is what you pay, plus tax. The Canada Revenue Agency sets the rate on a sale delivered in Ontario at 13%, so on a $90 dozen the tax is real money rather than a rounding difference.

Two shops rule out a service fee on top. Mystic Flowers says there are no service charges at checkout. Canada Flowers says on its roses page that there are no extra service fees at checkout. Everywhere else, a service fee is possible and undisclosed.

Two shops price a timed delivery separately. Sweetpea's says a request for a specific delivery time is invoiced at $10 plus HST. Wild North Flowers says a time-specific delivery carries a minimum charge of $15. Most shops give you a delivery window, not a time.

The same-day cutoff runs from 10:00 AM to 3:30 p.m.

Sixteen of the 18 publish a clock time for same-day orders. La Belle Fleur cuts off at 10:00 AM Monday to Saturday and delivers between 1PM and 7PM. The Flower Nook takes same-day orders until 2 PM for Leaside, East York, Thorncliffe Park and Bennington Heights, but until 10:30 AM for the rest of the GTA. At the other end, Toy Florist guarantees same-day delivery on orders placed before 3 PM, and Tonic Blooms takes orders until 3:30 p.m. for a 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. window.

A late cutoff can still cost you the afternoon. Bloomen takes same-day orders until 3pm Monday to Friday, but only orders placed before 11am get the 9am to 5pm window. Order between 11am and 3pm and the flowers arrive between 5pm and 9pm. On Saturday and Sunday its cutoff is 11am.

Two shops are outside this. Moon's Flowers publishes no clock time and says only that orders placed early in the day have the best availability. Periwinkle Flowers needs 48 hours notice on its rose bouquet, so same day is not on offer for that product.

Valentine's Day: the same red dozen at a higher price

Some Toronto florists do charge more for Valentine's Day, and the extra sits in the bouquet rather than in a fee. Four of the 20 shops list a Valentine's version of their everyday red dozen and price it $10.00 to $44 higher. We saw the same four gaps on the shops' own pages on 7 September 2026 and again on 29 September 2026. No shop had posted a price for February 2027 on either date, so treat these as the size of the premium, not as next February's bill.

Canada Flowers is the clearest case. Its Valentine's dozen and the 12 red roses on its rose selector are both 12 red roses in a glass vase with greenery and baby's breath. That is $136 less $92, a $44 gap for the same bouquet on the same day.

Most shops do not do this. Seven put their everyday dozen on their Valentine's page at the everyday price: Toronto Flower Co, Bloomen, 21 Seven Market, Toy Florist, Florist.ca, Top Flower Designers and Sweetpea's. The Flower Nook's Valentine's listing matches its everyday $125.00 at one dozen, and the premium shows only at two dozen: $205.00 against $200.00.

No shop names a Valentine's surcharge. Florist.ca comes closest. Its FAQ says holiday surcharges may apply during high-volume occasions and shows them only at checkout, and every Valentine's Day sale is final. Moon's Flowers adds terms to its Valentine's listing: a full refund needs 72 hours notice, and changing an en-route address costs $30 plus the new delivery charge.

Valentine's Day 2027 falls on a Sunday

That matters more than any premium. Florist.ca delivers seven days a week, including Sundays. Bloomen takes weekend same-day orders until 11am, and Mystic Flowers delivers on Sundays in Toronto and the core GTA. Skyline Flowers says Sunday delivery is available in many major cities, without naming them. Canada Flowers contradicts itself: its delivery page lists Sunday delivery as currently not available, while the product page for each of its dozens says Sunday delivery is available in most larger cities. Confirm with the shop before counting on a Sunday. La Belle Fleur and Sweetpea's are closed on Sundays. The Flower Nook, May Flowers, Wild North Flowers, Tonic Blooms and Quince Flowers deliver Monday to Saturday. Periwinkle Flowers opens on a Sunday only for a floral holiday, and stops taking orders for that date once it is full.

Leave it late and the day itself gets harder. Sweetpea's says same-day delivery on a major holiday such as Valentine's is rarely available. Canada Flowers says its best effort on a requested time of day does not extend to Valentine's Day.

Two shops with no dozen, and two that are not red

Two of the 20 could not sell you a dozen on 29 September 2026, for different reasons.

Quince Flowers sells bouquets as colour combinations in four sizes, from small to lux, and no product in its catalogue is named for roses. Garden roses do get named inside the description of its bridal bouquet. You choose a palette and a size, and the shop chooses the flowers.

Wild North Flowers sold a dozen roses in a vase when we first ran this study on 7 September 2026. By 29 September 2026 that product page was gone, and none of the 57 products in its online shop was a dozen roses.

Three shops are in the table but not in the red count. Tonic Blooms sells its dozen as garden roses, $65 for Expression Yourself in dark coral and bubble gum pink and $72 for Pink Expression. Its red rose bouquet is Red My Mind, and that one is 15 premium red roses at $97, not a dozen. Flowers and Flowers showed its red dozen as sold out on 29 September 2026, so its row is its Light Pink Roses Bouquet, 12 stems at the same $79.00. Periwinkle Flowers sells its Rose Flower Bouquet by the dozen without naming a colour.

How to check a price before you pay

Four checks cover the ways a published price stops matching the total.

Look for a crossed-out number. Five of these 18 pages show a sale price beside a regular one, and a size selector can open on more than a dozen.

Put it in the cart before you compare. Delivery is unpublished at six of the 18. Add the roses, enter the Toronto postal code, and stop before you pay.

Assume HST is on top. No product page in this set says its rose price includes it.

Around Valentine's Day, find the everyday listing too. At four shops here the Valentine's version of the same red dozen costs more.

Here is the whole sum on one order. Toronto Flower Story prices its dozen at $79.99 and delivers free on orders over $40, so delivery adds nothing. Add the Ontario rate and $79.99 x 1.13 = $90.39 on your card. Set that against the cheapest sticker in the table and $90.39 minus $54.00 is $36.39, from a shop that is nowhere near the top of the range.
